Common questions
Can we start with Onetribe and take it in-house later?
Yes — that is the clean exit: your data stays in your own Azure subscription in standard SQL, with read-only copies of the Power BI reports. You keep everything the project would have built.
We already have Power BI dashboards. Is that not enough?
If two managers can calculate margin two ways, you have dashboards, not a governed layer. The difference is one definition per metric, reconciled to the ledger — the part dashboards alone do not give you.
Is this just outsourcing?
No accounting close, no statutory filings, no tax — those stay where they are. This is the analytical and controlling layer: the monthly cycle, planning and projections, oversight, and the AI and BI layer kept tuned.
Who is the controller?
A named, experienced person — not a rotating pool — working remote by default and on-site when the situation calls for it, with our team behind them.
Isn't Onetribe also an AI tool?
The AI layer is one part of it — on Claude and Copilot, read-only, on top of the governed model. The difference: the numbers are computed, never generated, and someone answers for them.
Can AI really be trusted with financial numbers?
Not with generating them — and that is the design. Deterministic calculation in the governed model, AI drafting the narrative from those numbers, a controller reviewing before anything ships.
